Fastening & Joining
Fasteners are gadgets that hold other things together.
Examples include nails, screws, bolts, studs, anchors, inserts, washers, staples, rivets, pegs, and specialized designs.
Fasteners - Fasteners can really be just about anything. Their main function is to create some kind of a joint which fasteners two or more materials together. Whether it be a permanent (Rivets and Welds) or a temporary joint (Nuts and Bolts), fasteners are the tools used to connect materials.
Fastener Tools - Fastener tools are just general tools I would think. Tools such as wrenches, pliers, hammers, rivet guns, measuring gauges and more are all fastener tools. They are used to identify, install or remove fasteners. You can even use things like taps and dies to thread holes for your fasteners or cleaning the threading on ones you already have, these are probably considered fastener repair tools.
